The chimes are battery powered with a typical battery life of 5 years. The doorbell comes pre-linked and ready to install straight out of the box and operates in the 868MHz range to avoid problems with interference. The chimes come with a visual HALO alert and LED strobe light. The chimes also includes an internal range extender to send a signal a further 200m to a 2nd or more chime units.
