The SX range the latest range of doorchimes from Byron. All SXi Models will work together, so that as many chimes as you wish can work with upto 2 bell pushes. In general, the range either has a mechanical bell action, or uses electronic chimes. Where there are electronic chimes, there is a choice of up to 8 tunes, selectable from the bell push. There are options of a single chime, without a bell push, models SX-11i and SX-41i which can be used economically to extend a system to 2 or more chimes. The bell push on the SXi range use a random digital code with a choice of 256 frequencies, and the chimes auto-detect and remember these frequencies. This is used as a protection against clashes with neighbours chimes, although both chimes and bell push buttons can be reset to new frequencies if needed.
Traditional wired chime systems can be extended by using an SX-32 wired to wirefree extender/converter. These are wired into the existing wired system and send a wireless signal around the property, when the wired bell push (not an illuminated bell push) is pressed - both bell systems working at the same time. The SX-32 is also often used just with a wired bell push, so that a more aesthetic design of bell push can be used with a wired system. There is a choice of over 50 wired bell pushes on our web site under "Wired Bell Pushes".
The SX-201i and SX-220W are rechargeable chimes, and they can be considered as both a portable and mains powered chime. Other chimes such as the SX-i1, the SX-1B, the SX-1R and the SX-55 are particularly useful for the hard of hearing, since they include a flashing light as well as a chime. |
